Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Still life of peaches on a fruit stand with jasmine flowers and a tulip by Fede Galizia. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 438,500.00 (€ 514,232.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Fede Galizia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Crystal Fruit Stand With Peaches, Quinces, And Jasmine Flowers in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,565,000.00 (€ 2,218,644.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life of peaches on a fruit stand with jasmine flowers and a tulip von Fede Galizia zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 438.500,00 (€ 514.232,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fede Galizia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Crystal Fruit Stand With Peaches, Quinces, And Jasmine Flowers im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.565.000,00 (€ 2.218.644,36).
