Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cherries in a silver compote with crabapples on a stone ledge and a fritillary butterfly by Fede Galizia was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Christies in New York in October 2006. Here, the upper estimate of USD 500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 553,600.00 (€ 433,414.23). Admittedly, works by Fede Galizia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Crystal Fruit Stand With Peaches, Quinces, And Jasmine Flowers in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,565,000.00 (€ 2,218,644.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cherries in a silver compote with crabapples on a stone ledge and a fritillary butterfly von Fede Galizia wurde im Oktober 2006 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 553.600,00 (€ 433.414,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fede Galizia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Crystal Fruit Stand With Peaches, Quinces, And Jasmine Flowers im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.565.000,00 (€ 2.218.644,36).
