This artwork by Fausto Pratella achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Rome in May 2002. In the ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO - 19TH CENTURY ART auction, the work Napoli, pescatori a Mergellina sold for EUR 7,440.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fausto Pratella; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Riflessi di Luna Tra Le Barche sold at auction in June 2006 with the realized price of EUR 13,640.00.
