A top price for Fatima El Hajj - as previously expected
In October 2019 Christies in London held the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Al Nahda Al Ilmiya inda Al Arab (The Arab Scientific Renaissance) by Fatima El Hajj. The price achieved of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,797.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Al Nahda Al Ilmiya inda Al Arab (The Arab Scientific Renaissance) is the most expensive artwork by Fatima El Hajj that we have observed at auctions so far.
