Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Man va Tou (Me and You) by Farzad Kohan was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,899.82). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Farzad Kohan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work You Are The Sun, which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,391.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Man va Tou (Me and You) von Farzad Kohan im Oktober 2019 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.899,82) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Farzad Kohan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit You Are The Sun beobachtet, die im April 2013 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.391,25) versteigert wurde.
