The work El Amal by Farideh Lashai was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart I auction at Christies in Dubai in October 2011. It achieved a price of USD 72,100.00 (€ 51,695.71), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. With this result, El Amal is even the most expensive work of art by Farideh Lashai that we have observed at auctions so far.
