This artwork by Farid Aouad achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in May 2016. In the Orientalism auction, the work Composition sold for EUR 2,860.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Farid Aouad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sortie de Métro in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,930.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Farid Aouad erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Orientalism wurde die Arbeit Composition für EUR 2.860,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Farid Aouad auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sortie de Métro im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.930,36).
