This artwork by Farid Aouad achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in November 2010. In the Tableaux Orientalistes et Art Moderne Arabe et Iranien auction, the work Au restaurant sold for EUR 16,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Farid Aouad; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sortie de Métro sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,930.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Farid Aouad erzielte im November 2010 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Tableaux Orientalistes et Art Moderne Arabe et Iranien wurde die Arbeit Au restaurant für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Farid Aouad; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sortie de Métro im März 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.930,36).
