Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Farhad Hussain. The price achieved of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 9,141.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Farhad Hussain - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre, 2006, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 22,306.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Farhad Hussain zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 9.141,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Farhad Hussain mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre, 2006 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 22.306,00 versteigert wurde.
