Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2007 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Thrust II, The Dream by Farghali Abdel Hafiz. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,400.00 (€ 15,419.50). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Farghali Abdel Hafiz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work HATSHEPSUT, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 43,250.00 (€ 55,128.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2007 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thrust II, The Dream von Farghali Abdel Hafiz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.400,00 (€ 15.419,50) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Farghali Abdel Hafiz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit HATSHEPSUT beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für GBP 43.250,00 (€ 55.128,23) versteigert wurde.
