This artwork by Farghali Abdel Hafiz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in August 2021. In the Middle Eastern Art Online Sale including works from the Saatchi Collection auction, the work Couple & Horse sold for GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,198.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Farghali Abdel Hafiz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work HATSHEPSUT in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 55,128.23).
