Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Faraj Abbo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in November 2021. In the Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art auction, the work Pinwheel Seller sold for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,815.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Faraj Abbo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,980.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Faraj Abbo erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art wurde die Arbeit Pinwheel Seller für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.815,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Faraj Abbo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.980,85) versteigert wurde.
