Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Penglai Three Islands at Mount Huang by Fang Zhaoling. It changed hands for a price of HKD 113,400.00 (€ 13,463.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fang Zhaoling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring Boating in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 171,131.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Penglai Three Islands at Mount Huang von Fang Zhaoling zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 113.400,00 (€ 13.463,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fang Zhaoling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring Boating im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 171.131,94).
