Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Landscape by Fang Yizhi was worth HKD 84,000.00 (€ 9,190.84) to a buyer in November 2005. This price was achieved in the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fang Yizhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes Of Worn Brushstrokes, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 19,700.00 (€ 27,585.10).

Die Arbeit Landscape von Fang Yizhi war einem Käufer im November 2005 HKD 84.000,00 (€ 9.190,84) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Fang Yizhi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscapes Of Worn Brushstrokes beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 19.700,00 (€ 27.585,10) versteigert wurde.
