Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven-Character Calligraphies In Official Script by Fang Jiekan was auctioned at POLY in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 23,600.00 (€ 2,657.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Fang Jiekan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seven-Character Couplet In Seal Script in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 96,760.00 (€ 11,304.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seven-Character Calligraphies In Official Script von Fang Jiekan kam im Oktober 2018 bei POLY zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 23.600,00 (€ 2.657,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fang Jiekan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Seal Script im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 96.760,00 (€ 11.304,15).
