A top price for Fan Yunlin
When the work Running-Script Calligraphy by Fan Yunlin was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 80,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at HKD 375,000.00 (€ 35,554.17). This high result makes Running-Script Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Fan Yunlin that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Fan Yunlin
Als die Arbeit Running-Script Calligraphy von Fan Yunlin im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 80.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 375.000,00 (€ 35.554,17) mehr als viermal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Running-Script Calligraphy zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Fan Yunlin, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
