Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lady Resting under the Tree by Fan Xu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 12,600.00 (€ 1,401.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fan Xu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Beauty Catching Butterflies in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 112,100.00 (€ 13,660.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lady Resting under the Tree von Fan Xu wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 12.600,00 (€ 1.401,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fan Xu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Beauty Catching Butterflies im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 112.100,00 (€ 13.660,13).
