Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ladies under Plantain Leaves by Fan Xu was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. It changed hands for a price of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,278.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fan Xu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Beauty Catching Butterflies in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 112,100.00 (€ 13,660.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ladies under Plantain Leaves von Fan Xu wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.278,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fan Xu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Beauty Catching Butterflies im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 112.100,00 (€ 13.660,13).
