Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Projet d’enfouissement de celui qui regarde, Tobogans by Fabrice Hyber was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 378.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fabrice Hyber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture Homéopathique, No.18Acrylic, Charcoal, Resin, Photographs And Paper Collage On Canvas. in September 2012 with an auction result of EUR 70,350.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Projet d’enfouissement de celui qui regarde, Tobogans von Fabrice Hyber im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 378,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fabrice Hyber erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peinture Homéopathique, No.18Acrylic, Charcoal, Resin, Photographs And Paper Collage On Canvas. im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 70.350,00.
