Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Sunrise over a mountainous landscape by F. Walters for GBP 192.00 (€ 281.41). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by F. Walters - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vessels off the coast at dawn and dusk, which sold at auction in February 2001 for GBP 611.00 (€ 957.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sunrise over a mountainous landscape von F. Walters für GBP 192,00 (€ 281,41) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00. Für andere Arbeiten von F. Walters mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vessels off the coast at dawn and dusk beobachtet, die im Februar 2001 für GBP 611,00 (€ 957,29) versteigert wurde.
