Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by F. Walters could be acquired at Christies in London in April 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Fixing The Nets; And On The Way Home changed hands for GBP 225.00 (€ 286.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by F. Walters - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vessels off the coast at dawn and dusk, which sold at auction in February 2001 for GBP 611.00 (€ 957.29).
