Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,312.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,500.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederik Tudgay - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The three-masted clipper ship England's Glory with a lighthouse and other shipping in the distance, which sold at auction in January 2007 for USD 33,600.00 (€ 25,850.13).
