Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures), which included the work A Three-Master Passing Dover by Frederik Tudgay. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,346.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frederik Tudgay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The three-masted clipper ship England's Glory with a lighthouse and other shipping in the distance in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 33,600.00 (€ 25,850.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Three-Master Passing Dover von Frederik Tudgay zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.346,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederik Tudgay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The three-masted clipper ship England's Glory with a lighthouse and other shipping in the distance im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.600,00 (€ 25.850,13).
