Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gdzie woda czysta i trawa zielona (Where the water is clean and the grass is green) by Ewa Juszkiewicz was sold in the Post-Millennium Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November last year. The price achieved of HKD 5,292,000.00 (€ 656,693.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ewa Juszkiewicz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a Lady (After Louis Leopold Boilly), which sold at auction in May last year for USD 1,560,000.00 (€ 1,453,732.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gdzie woda czysta i trawa zielona (Where the water is clean and the grass is green) von Ewa Juszkiewicz wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-Millennium Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 5.292.000,00 (€ 656.693,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 4.000.000,00 – 6.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ewa Juszkiewicz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a Lady (After Louis Leopold Boilly) beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 1.560.000,00 (€ 1.453.732,18) versteigert wurde.
