Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Russian Art, which included the work A Russian Bronze: The Tsar'S Falconer by Evgeni Evgenievich Lanceray. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 23,595.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Evgeni Evgenievich Lanceray - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Russian Bronze: Svyatoslav On The Way To Tsargrad, which sold at auction in April 2009 for USD 92,500.00 (€ 69,842.95).
