Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Russian Bronze: The Waiting Troika by Evgeni Alexandrovich Lanceray was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,029.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Evgeni Alexandrovich Lanceray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Bronze Group Of The Warrior Svyatoslav in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 115,343.06).
