This artwork by Evgeni Evgenievich Lanceray achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. In the Russian Pictures, Works of Art and Icons auction, the work Study Of A Soldier sold for GBP 4,080.00 (€ 6,054.51) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Evgeni Evgenievich Lanceray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Russian Bronze: Svyatoslav On The Way To Tsargrad in April 2009 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 69,842.95).
