This artwork by Evert Moll achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007. In the Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Shipping on a canal at sunset sold for EUR 4,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Evert Moll - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Moored sailing barges in Amsterdam with the St. Nikolaaskerk and the Schreierstoren beyond, which sold at auction in January 2001 for NLG 37,600.00 (€ 16,453.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Evert Moll erzielte im Januar 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Shipping on a canal at sunset für EUR 4.200,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Evert Moll mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Moored sailing barges in Amsterdam with the St. Nikolaaskerk and the Schreierstoren beyond beobachtet, die im Januar 2001 für NLG 37.600,00 (€ 16.453,03) versteigert wurde.
