In January 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work A busy day in the harbour by Evert Moll. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 960.00 (€ 1,448.42), 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Evert Moll achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moored sailing barges in Amsterdam with the St. Nikolaaskerk and the Schreierstoren beyond in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 37,600.00 (€ 16,453.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A busy day in the harbour von Evert Moll zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.448,42) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Evert Moll erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moored sailing barges in Amsterdam with the St. Nikolaaskerk and the Schreierstoren beyond im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 37.600,00 (€ 16.453,03).
