Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A Dutch naval barque anchored off a foreign coast by Everhardus Koster. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,600.00 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Everhardus Koster - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A regatta on the IJ, Amsterdam, which sold at auction in October 2002 for EUR 29,875.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Dutch naval barque anchored off a foreign coast von Everhardus Koster zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.600,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Everhardus Koster mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A regatta on the IJ, Amsterdam beobachtet, die im Oktober 2002 für EUR 29.875,00 versteigert wurde.
