Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Everhardus Koster achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2019. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Dutch The Thames At Blackfriars sold for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,167.33) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Everhardus Koster; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A regatta on the IJ, Amsterdam sold at auction in October 2002 with the realized price of EUR 29,875.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Everhardus Koster erzielte im Februar 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
