Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Portrait Of Ménélas by Evelyne Axell. The price achieved of GBP 31,500.00 (€ 35,164.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Evelyne Axell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Amazone in May this year with an auction result of USD 201,600.00 (€ 189,224.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Ménélas von Evelyne Axell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.500,00 (€ 35.164,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Evelyne Axell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'Amazone im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 189.224,70).
