The »bidding war« ended at GBP 705.00 (€ 1,021.28), 18% above the upper estimate. Other works by Evelyn Williams have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,034.00 (€ 1,497.88) in March 2003 for the work Waiting for the Day.
