Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tthe Vision, 1914 by Evelyn de Morgan was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2011. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,184.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Evelyn de Morgan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gloria in Excelsis in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 622,500.00 (€ 695,387.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tthe Vision, 1914 von Evelyn de Morgan kam im November 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.184,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Evelyn de Morgan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gloria in Excelsis im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 622.500,00 (€ 695.387,98).
