Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work A study of shoulders and arms for a figure in St Christina Giving her Father's Jewels to the Poor by Evelyn de Morgan was worth GBP 11,475.00 (€ 13,480.17) to a buyer in March 2021. This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Evelyn de Morgan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gloria in Excelsis in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 622,500.00 (€ 695,387.98).
Kunstwerk zum Fünffachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit A study of shoulders and arms for a figure in St Christina Giving her Father's Jewels to the Poor von Evelyn de Morgan war einem Käufer im März 2021 GBP 11.475,00 (€ 13.480,17) wert.
