Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Napangardi Eunice could be acquired at Christies in Melbourne in November 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction, the work Bush Banana (Yuparli) Dreaming changed hands for AUD 564.00 (€ 340.23) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 800.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Napangardi Eunice achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bush Banana Dreaming, 2000 in July 2008 with an auction result of EUR 43,372.00.
