In November 2009 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Australian Aboriginal Art, which included the work Le Reve De La Banane Du Bush / Bush Banana Dreaming, 1991 by Napangardi Eunice. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,805.00 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Napangardi Eunice achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bush Banana Dreaming, 2000 in July 2008 with an auction result of EUR 43,372.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im November 2009 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Australian Aboriginal Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Reve De La Banane Du Bush / Bush Banana Dreaming, 1991 von Napangardi Eunice zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.805,00 und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Napangardi Eunice erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bush Banana Dreaming, 2000 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 43.372,00.
