In November 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work L'Omnibus: a busy town square, Paris by Eugenio Alvarez Dumont. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 11,250.00 41% above the upper estimate. Other works by Eugenio Alvarez Dumont have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 26,400.00 (€ 19,326.50) in April 2007 for the work A la Playa.
