Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Farmyard Scene by Eugène Rémy Maes for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,336.71). This price was achieved in the auction British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings at Sothebys in Olympia and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Rémy Maes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Farm Yard in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 10,755.00 (€ 15,455.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Farmyard Scene von Eugène Rémy Maes für GBP 900,00 (€ 1.336,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings bei Sothebys in Olympia erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Rémy Maes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the Farm Yard im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.755,00 (€ 15.455,52).
