Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cockerels and mallards on a sheltered bank by Eugène Rémy Maes was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,116.25 (€ 1,630.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eugène Rémy Maes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In the Farm Yard in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 10,755.00 (€ 15,455.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cockerels and mallards on a sheltered bank von Eugène Rémy Maes kam im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.116,25 (€ 1.630,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugène Rémy Maes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In the Farm Yard im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.755,00 (€ 15.455,52).
