Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L'église Saint-Germain-des-Prés en hiver by Eugène Galien-Laloue was sold in the European Art auction at Christies in New York in February this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,507.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Galien-Laloue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bouquinistes sur le quai de Tournelle, Paris in April 2002 with an auction result of USD 89,625.00 (€ 99,561.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit L'église Saint-Germain-des-Prés en hiver von Eugène Galien-Laloue wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 9.507,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Galien-Laloue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bouquinistes sur le quai de Tournelle, Paris im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 89.625,00 (€ 99.561,21).
