Auction result well in line with expectations

The work The Family At Prayer by Eugène-François Fines was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in December 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,115.00 (€ 2,995.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eugène-François Fines - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Moisson, which sold at auction in March 2005 for GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,641.17).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit The Family At Prayer von Eugène-François Fines wurde im Dezember 2003 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.115,00 (€ 2.995,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Eugène-François Fines mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Moisson beobachtet, die im März 2005 für GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.641,17) versteigert wurde.
