In October 2003 Christies in London held the auction THE SCOTTISH SALE, THE ASSEMBLY ROOMS, EDINBURGH, which included the work St Monans harbour, Fife by Eugène Dekkert. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,981.62), 59% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eugène Dekkert; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Self Portrait Of The Artist At Work sold at auction in August 2008 with the realized price of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,175.32).

Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE SCOTTISH SALE, THE ASSEMBLY ROOMS, EDINBURGH durch, in der auch die Arbeit St Monans harbour, Fife von Eugène Dekkert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.780,00 (€ 6.981,62) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Eugène Dekkert; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A Self Portrait Of The Artist At Work im August 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.175,32).
