Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work A figure outside a cottage before a river by Eugène Dekkert for GBP 597.50 (€ 902.95). This price was achieved in the auction AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Dekkert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Self Portrait Of The Artist At Work in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,175.32).

Im Juli 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A figure outside a cottage before a river von Eugène Dekkert für GBP 597,50 (€ 902,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Dekkert erzielen.
