Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Le Clovis' by Eugène Cuvelier was sold in the An Important Collection of Photographs by Eugène and Adalbert Cuvelier auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2007. It changed hands for a price of USD 48,000.00 (€ 35,139.09) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eugène Cuvelier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Village De Rivière' in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 288,000.00 (€ 210,834.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Le Clovis' von Eugène Cuvelier wurde im April 2007 in der Auktion An Important Collection of Photographs by Eugène and Adalbert Cuvelier bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 35.139,09) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugène Cuvelier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Village De Rivière' im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 288.000,00 (€ 210.834,55).
