Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Eugene Berman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in March 2021. In the Collection Pierre Le-Tan, Session I auction, the work L'aube, le jour, le crépuscule, la nuit sold for EUR 12,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eugene Berman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Backview of Proserpina in Black in May this year with an auction result of USD 68,040.00 (€ 63,863.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eugene Berman erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Pierre Le-Tan, Session I wurde die Arbeit L'aube, le jour, le crépuscule, la nuit für EUR 12.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugene Berman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Backview of Proserpina in Black im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.040,00 (€ 63.863,34).
