Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Aboriginal Art, which included the work Djindatba, On The Canning Stock Route by Eubena Nampitjin. It changed hands for a price of AUD 11,400.00 (€ 6,454.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eubena Nampitjin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Near Jupiter Well In The Great Sandy Desert, W.A. in December 2019 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,174.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Aboriginal Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Djindatba, On The Canning Stock Route von Eubena Nampitjin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 11.400,00 (€ 6.454,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eubena Nampitjin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Near Jupiter Well In The Great Sandy Desert, W.A. im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.174,85).
