Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in Sidney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Starry Night, 2002 by Euan Macleod. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 11,070.00 (€ 7,551.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Euan Macleod have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2005 the work Rough Water was auctioned for AUD 15,535.00 (€ 9,467.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Sidney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Starry Night, 2002 von Euan Macleod zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 11.070,00 (€ 7.551,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Euan Macleod konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2005 die Arbeit Rough Water für AUD 15.535,00 (€ 9.467,15) versteigert.
