Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New Zealander untitled by Euan Macleod was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 8,400.00 (€ 4,903.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Euan Macleod have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2005 the work Rough Water was auctioned for AUD 15,535.00 (€ 9,467.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit New Zealander untitled von Euan Macleod kam im August 2008 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 8.400,00 (€ 4.903,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Euan Macleod konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2005 die Arbeit Rough Water für AUD 15.535,00 (€ 9.467,15) versteigert.
