The »bidding war« ended at EUR 68,750.00 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ettore Spalletti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Azzurro, which sold at auction in June last year for EUR 201,600.00.

Executed In 2011. von Ettore Spalletti wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion From Magritte to Indiana : an Italian collection bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 68.750,00 und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ettore Spalletti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Azzurro beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für EUR 201.600,00 versteigert wurde.
